POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting the efficient operation and maintenance of our aquaculture systems and facility infrastructure. This position is responsible for performing a broad range of skilled maintenance activities, including equipment installation, mechanical troubleshooting and repair, preventive and corrective maintenance, and general facility upkeep. The Maintenance Technician ensures the reliability, performance, and longevity of critical equipment and systems while minimizing operational downtime. This role requires a strong commitment to workplace safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, contributing directly to the achievement of the company's production goals, business objectives, and overall success.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: 2+ years of maintenance experience including work with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, industrial and facilities maintenance
Licenses or Certifications: Driver’s License

Job Functions
Perform diversified maintenance duties in support of aquaculture operations and facility infrastructure.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, performance, and uptime.
Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and address potential issues proactively.
Read and interpret work instructions, SOPs, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and technical documentation to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
Perform general maintenance and repairs involving mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Fabricate, modify, and repair components using shop equipment and metalworking tools, including welders, grinders, lathes, and drill presses.
Complete facility improvement, construction, remodeling, and grounds maintenance projects as assigned.
Safely operate hand and power tools, testing equipment, and material-handling equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, skid steers, and telehandlers.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies to minimize operational disruptions.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, repairs, and related documentation.
Collaborate with operations teams to support production goals, optimize system performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Adhere to all safety, biosecurity, food safety, and regulatory requirements while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Demonstrate company values and perform additional duties or special projects as assigned.
Follow all company designated record keeping activities.
Comply with worker safety, biosecurity and food safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
